The Defiant take

The 10–14 day in-country window is non-negotiable: sutures out and surgeon review happen before you fly.

Types of facelift — which one you actually need

Not sure you need surgery at all? Many patients get most of the effect from HIFU + threads + skin boosters with no downtime — read the lunchtime glowup menu before you book a scalpel.

FAQ

What's the difference between a SMAS and a deep-plane facelift?

Both lift the deeper SMAS layer, not just the skin — which is what makes a result look natural and last. A SMAS facelift tightens that layer; a deep-plane facelift releases and repositions it as one unit, which many surgeons consider the most natural, longest-lasting technique, and the most demanding. We route deep-plane cases to surgeons who do them at volume.

How long does a facelift last?

A well-done SMAS or deep-plane facelift typically lasts 10–15 years. It doesn't stop aging — it turns the clock back — so maintaining with non-surgical treatments extends the result.

How long do I need to stay in Thailand?

Plan 10–14 nights. Sutures come out and the surgeon reviews you before you're cleared to fly — that window is non-negotiable. You're generally presentable at about two weeks.

Can I combine a facelift with other work on the same trip?

Yes — eyelids (blepharoplasty), a neck lift, or fat transfer under one anesthesia is common. Lighter add-ons like Botox, filler, and lasers are better spaced around surgery; we plan the sequence with the surgeon. See the glowup menu for the no-downtime options.

Are there non-surgical alternatives to a facelift?

Plenty. HIFU (ultrasound tightening), PDO thread lifts, and skin boosters give a real lift with little or no downtime, at a fraction of the cost — a strong option if you're not ready to cut, or want to delay one. The full menu is on the lunchtime glowup page.
